Buxton is a quiet town full of surprises from world class fishing and surfing to the tallest light house overlooking the largest Maritime Forest ont he East Coast.

Behind the motel you'll find access to the Pamlico Sound  where you'll enjoy watching windsurfers at the Canadian Hole, kiteboarders at Kite Point, kayakers and paddle boarders but if that's not your style, you'll find one of the most breathtaking beaches across the road.

Buxton is renowned by the surfing community as the best place to surf on the Eash Coast where annual competions are held at the Lighthouse Beach.  Surf fisherman and women come from miles around to fish at Cape Point or to take a charter out of Hatteras Inlet.
